if i had to guess, you have an ad-blocker that is somehow messing with the button's code and that's why clicking it doesn't do anything but highlight it

I turned off my ad blocker but it still just highlights it

run lighthouse in the f12 menu

if it fails thats fine, if it takes a while and seems to freeze, cancel it, it worked
