having the same issues since yesterday.
You can go incognito and create a new free account to use it as a free user, but that's just weird.
I did the free user using [email]+001@[domain] and creating a new password - no SSO from Google, and it worked.
ah great, I'm having the same problem as well - I'm glad its not just me
yah really need them to fix this one asap
it's early in California...
its been broken for over a day though
I feel pretty bad because I told a bunch of people in the general chat to switch to SSO when the auth system failedd
so I suppose this is karma :p

There is something wrong between openai, Google's SSO and Cloudflare...
A 502 error from Cloudflare typically means that the origin server (in this case, chat.openai.com) is not responding properly or is timing out. There are several possible reasons why this error could be happening specifically when users try to log in using Google's SSO:
Connectivity issues: It's possible that there is an issue with the network connectivity between the Cloudflare edge servers and the backend server hosting the chat service. This could be due to a variety of reasons such as network congestion, DNS resolution issues, or routing issues.
Load balancer configuration: If the chat service is hosted across multiple backend servers, it's possible that the load balancer is not configured properly, and requests are not being routed correctly. This could cause certain requests, such as SSO login requests, to fail with a 502 error.
SSL certificate issues: It's possible that there are SSL certificate issues with the chat service. This could cause Google's SSO to fail, resulting in a 502 error from Cloudflare.
Service provider issues: Google's SSO service may be experiencing issues, which could cause login attempts to fail. This would result in a 502 error being returned by Cloudflare.
Server-side issues: Finally, there could be server-side issues on the backend server hosting the chat service. This could be due to a variety of reasons such as high traffic, resource contention, or bugs in the chat application code. These issues could cause requests to fail, including SSO login requests, resulting in a 502 error being returned by Cloudflare.
