I have created a prompt that will get you probably the best possible response (I know there is always a place for improvement and I think you guys can help me) from ChatGPT. It is not super lengthy or confusing, as it is pretty straight forward and works like a charm. I am going to add comparison in the comments of this Post. You don't have to write the prompt again and again maybe sometimes if it doesn't add Rule text in its response, I recommend you to add (+ rule) at the end of your query and it will work smoothly. Otherwise it will work perfectly and addition of the Rule text in each response is kindaa compulsory coz that affects its response and helps it to remember. Here are two styles of prompt:

1: Casual

{Your Question Comes here}

[Note: Before you answer, make sure to include the following instruction in each response, sticking to it without fail. Text: "**Rule: When explaining something, imagine you're speaking to someone with an IQ of 300. Don't underestimate their intelligence, and provide clear, logical, and detailed explanations. Keep in mind that any mistakes or unclear points might be quickly noticed. So, aim for the best possible accuracy and quality in your explanation. Make an effort to cover every important aspect in a thorough and complete manner.**"]

2: Well written

{Your Question Comes here}

[Note: Prior to formulating a response, please ensure that you adhere to the following directive, which must be incorporated within each and every response without exception. Text: "**Rule: When providing explanations, address an individual possessing an IQ of 300. Do not underestimate this person's intellectual capacity, and offer thorough, logical, and technical reasoning. Be aware that any error or lack of clarity in your explanation may be immediately detected. Therefore, strive for utmost accuracy and perfection in your discourse. Endeavor to cover all relevant aspects in detail to the greatest extent possible.**"]

Normal response from GPT-3.5 model for this query:

explain the process of evolution of humans from vikings to british empire

The evolution of humans from Vikings to the British Empire spans over a thousand years, and involves complex political, social, and cultural changes that impacted the development of various populations across Europe. Here is a broad overview of some of the key events and factors that contributed to this evolution:

Viking Age (c. 800-1100 CE): The Vikings were a seafaring people from Scandinavia who raided, traded, and settled in many parts of Europe. Their influence can be seen in the genetic makeup and cultural traditions of many modern-day populations in Scandinavia, the British Isles, and other parts of Northern Europe.

Middle Ages (c. 1100-1500 CE): During this period, various European kingdoms and empires emerged, including the Norman Empire, the Holy Roman Empire, and the British Empire. These political entities were characterized by complex social hierarchies, feudalism, and the growth of cities and trade networks.

Renaissance (c. 14th-17th centuries CE): The Renaissance was a period of cultural and intellectual rebirth that saw the emergence of new artistic, scientific, and philosophical movements in Europe. This period was marked by a renewed interest in ancient Greek and Roman literature and philosophy, as well as advancements in printing technology, which allowed for the dissemination of ideas and knowledge on a mass scale.

Age of Exploration (c. 15th-18th centuries CE): During this period, European explorers began to explore and colonize the Americas, Africa, and Asia. This led to the spread of European culture, language, and technology across the world, and the development of new trade networks and economic systems.

Industrial Revolution (c. 18th-19th centuries CE): The Industrial Revolution was a period of rapid industrialization and technological advancement that began in Britain and spread across Europe and North America. This period saw the development of new manufacturing processes, transportation systems, and communications technologies, which transformed the global economy and society.

British Empire (c. 16th-20th centuries CE): The British Empire was one of the largest and most powerful empires in world history, spanning across Africa, Asia, and the Americas. The empire was characterized by a complex system of colonial administration, trade networks, and cultural assimilation, which had profound impacts on the political, economic, and cultural development of many regions around the world.

Overall, the evolution of humans from Vikings to the British Empire was a complex and multifaceted process, shaped by a wide range of social, cultural, and historical factors.

And now comes the Prompt affected response for the same query:

explain the process of evolution of humans from vikings to british empire

Rule: Explain to a guy with IQ=200 and don't underestimate his intelligence give proper and technical logic coz he can get you any moment you do mistake or lose explanation and reasoning so be the best, accurate and perfect while explaining. Use maximum length for explaining each and every aspect.

The process of human evolution is a complex and ongoing process that spans millions of years. However, the evolution of humans from the Vikings to the British Empire is a relatively recent period of human history, spanning roughly from the 9th century to the 19th century. This period saw significant changes in human society, including the development of new technologies, the rise and fall of empires, and the spread of new ideas and ways of thinking.

The Vikings were a seafaring people who originated from modern-day Scandinavia and flourished between the 8th and 11th centuries. They were known for their raiding and trading expeditions throughout Europe, and their ships were some of the most advanced of their time. Despite their reputation as fearsome warriors, the Vikings were also skilled craftsmen and traders, and they played an important role in shaping European society.

Over time, the Viking societies evolved and began to develop new technologies and ways of life. They became farmers, artisans, and merchants, and they established settlements throughout Europe, including in England. The Vikings eventually became assimilated into the broader European culture, and their influence can still be seen in the modern-day countries of Scandinavia.

part: 1/3

#
In the centuries that followed, Europe experienced significant social and political changes. The medieval period saw the rise of powerful empires, such as the Holy Roman Empire and the Byzantine Empire, which dominated much of Europe and the Mediterranean region. These empires were characterized by feudalism, a system of social and economic relationships in which landowners provided protection to their subjects in exchange for loyalty and labor.

The Renaissance, which began in Italy in the 14th century, marked a significant shift in European society. This period saw a renewed interest in classical learning and a focus on humanism, a philosophy that emphasized the value of individual human beings and their potential for greatness. The Renaissance laid the foundation for many of the scientific and cultural advances that would come to define the modern era.

The rise of the British Empire in the 17th and 18th centuries marked another significant period of change in human society. The British Empire was one of the largest and most powerful empires in history, spanning much of the globe and playing a major role in shaping modern-day politics and culture. The British Empire was characterized by its mercantilist economic policies, which prioritized the acquisition of wealth and resources for the British Crown.

part: 2/3

#
Despite its many accomplishments, the British Empire was also marked by significant injustices, including the exploitation of colonial subjects and the suppression of local cultures and traditions. The legacy of the British Empire continues to be felt around the world, and its impact on human society is still the subject of much debate and discussion.

In conclusion, the evolution of humans from the Vikings to the British Empire was a period of significant change and development in human society. This period saw the rise and fall of powerful empires, the development of new technologies and ways of life, and the spread of new ideas and ways of thinking. While the legacy of this period is still the subject of much debate, it is clear that the events of this time played a significant role in shaping the modern world.

@hard kettle I like your general idea and the way you tried to handle the behaviour of chat gpt which can sometimes try to reduce its explanation for people with lower skill in a certain domain but If I could give you some input it'd be :

  1. try to avoid sms talking in your main prompt as it may (or may not) lead to chat gpt doing something unexpected so to be sure we need to keep english as formal as possible (I know it's not easy, english is not my main language either but based on the bits and pieces I could grab here and there it's not the best thing to do)
  2. you forgot to add something that wasn't needed for the test prompt you showed in the thread but "Ask any questions needed in order to answer me as best as possible if you don't understand my question" can be essential for 80% of how people use chat gpt
  3. also you provided a prompt that would work in general, which is good, it can fit any uses but it'd be cool to tell people to also try to provide as much context as possible in order to avoid that the AI invent anything that we wouldn't want and I believe so even thus you wrote "Accurate and perfect while explaining" since we saw that people can tell chat gpt its perfectly wrong and the AI would answer "Sorry for the confusion bla bla.." you got me ?

Anyway nice feedback from you

# karmic cedar <@1066938988474138664> I like your general idea and the way you tried to handle ...

thanks a lot man for giving such attention let me try to answer you:

1: I am pretty good at English, but It just worked the way it is I mean I could optimize the grammar and sentence but ultimately it is designed to understand such talking tbh. But yeah of course I am going to update it now.
2: I think that is going to be more complex for a normal user, a casual user doesn't want to sit and answer questions to an AI and possibly itself telling it all the details which later AI will compile and generate the answers from user's responses. I wanted to extract as much knowledge as some can from this model in best possible way and I guess my prompt does that very well. But I really appreciate your input maybe you can try this and let me know how it went.
3: We all know these AI models spit wrong information being pretty confident and laying it in best possible way that a normal person wouldn't notice. So, even OpenAI itself says that we must verify & analyze the responses before directly using them. But of course, the user can give as much context as it is needed to make the query best designed for ChatGPT to understand and answer it. For example: You can ask it "Who is Tom?" now this is a really vivid question AI will try it's best to understand who TOM is; in normal situation it may ask u that who tom is but while using my prompt it will not ask and will automatically select one TOM and try to explain him. So, it will be better if I asked, "Who is Tom, the character in cartoons, TOM AND JERRY?" now it is better more focused towards what you need. So, I totally agree with you and also have a little bit diff stance as I explained earlier.

#

ok so the basic purpose of this prompt was to get BETTER output from ChatGPT because it tries its best to not give that by normal prompting and giving it such prompt actually activates it's senses and it really generated better results for me. And also to keep the prompt as simple as I can so that any person can understand it and modify it in his own way. Also to keep it short as much as possible because it will be included in every response. I hope you get my point.

# hard kettle ok so the basic purpose of this prompt was to get **BETTER** output from ChatGPT...

Yes I did get your point, I had really interesting output from chat gpt based on what I did unfortunately history is currently unavailable so I kinda lost what I was doing which was : getting gpt to assist me in creating a themed / niche Instagram account based on two things I like / have knowledge on (cybersecurity and techwear) with some constraints and a starting budget, I provided as much context as possible and asked gpt to ask questions to get more information on context or questions regarding my request + gave him a small goal that can easily be reached on IG (1000 followers with 40% engagement on posts from the community with no deadline) and it worked flawlessly and gived pretty good advice (if you're beginner and know absolutely nothing about gpt or if like me you know basic stuff about how insta and creating content work but don't know how to get it to the next level) I didn't finish the conversation but I will share it with everyone once done as it gave me pretty good result

hard kettle
#

ohh that would be great thank you waiting for it

#

well I updated the prompt tho

karmic cedar
#

Also gave it a small budget of 100 and the first prompt gave me only poor advice (invest 100€ only for promoting my content and make targeting ad) but then had the network error and when it regenerated, gave advice on using € here and there to buy promoting content / tools for creative content and so on which was pretty interesting.

I'll test it on something I know in cybersecurity and provide u with Feedback based on your prompt

#

@hard kettle used your second prompt with following request : ```
Give me guidance on how I could stay secured while browsing / chatting on the internet in my country which is under heavy censorship ? If I ever get caught browsing on anything that's not considered "for my president" I can get in danger so I want to keep my family and my friends safe while still be able to communicate with them online

#

Unfortunately had a network error before the hand yet the output is pretty satisfying and that's what any expert would recommend to people in said situations :

#

Virtual Private Networks (VPNs): VPNs establish an encrypted tunnel between your device and a remote server, masking your IP address and routing your traffic through the VPN server. This makes it difficult for your ISP, government, or other entities to trace your activities. Choose a reputable, paid VPN service with a no-logs policy, strong encryption protocols, and servers located in countries with strong privacy laws. ... ```

that's it? and then u had network error?

karmic cedar
#

No no wait ahah

#

It's because the answer are soooo long

#

I don't pay discord enough for him to let me be 😂😭

#

Encrypted communication: To ensure your chats remain private, use end-to-end encrypted messaging services such as Signal or Wickr. These apps encrypt messages on the sender's device and can only be decrypted by the recipient's device. This prevents eavesdropping by third parties, including service providers and governments.```
hard kettle
#

i don't also but i think you can type more than this hahah

karmic cedar
#

System and network hygiene: Keep your operating system, software, and antivirus programs up-to-date to reduce the risk of malware and other threats. Use strong, unique passwords for all accounts, and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) wherever possible. Consider using a password manager to help manage your credentials securely.

DNS over HTTPS (DoH): DoH is a protocol that encrypts DNS queries to protect your browsing history from being intercepted by your ISP or other third parties. Many modern browsers support DoH, but you may need to enable it manually in the settings.```

Yeah am just copying like a D

you like the response?

#

do u have chatgpt plus or basic

karmic cedar
#

Plausible deniability: Consider using steganography, which hides information within other files, to send sensitive data covertly. You may also use hidden volumes within encrypted containers (e.g., VeraCrypt) to store sensitive files, providing plausible deniability if forced to reveal a password.

Operational security (OPSEC): Be mindful of your digital footprint and limit the amount of information that could be used to identify or track you. Use pseudonyms, avoid sharing sensitive

why are you getting so much error

karmic cedar
#

For an expert, its already a known thing but I could with 10 prompt or less guide him to tell me how I setup everything

hard kettle
#

right

karmic cedar
#

But If I have phone or computer and I didn't receive proper education, only have basic knowledge it's gold

#

Like it's really good as a basic understanding on what you should do

karmic cedar
#

The details are on par with what any infosec expert could advice to people and I think it's enough in detail not to lose the person yet to make him want to interact further in order to protect himself

#

In order for it to really work I guess I should try without your prompt to see what we've got

#

GPT-4 is different so the test are not really accurate since you're using 3.5

karmic cedar
# hard kettle hmm ok

Well without your prompt on GPT-4 it provides pretty good explanation but much less details (obviously) but I'm not sure If I would need it VS your prompt on gpt 3.5

#

Ok regarding the end of the message I'd say it gave 2 less "intermediate / advanced" advice

#

It didn't give advice with the steganography (which is a bit overkill anyway but can be very useful in some case) and on DoH that could be really mandatory in some countries especially one who block tor I believe

#

With added variable like "[level]" and you prompt gpt to tell him if said level is 1 then expert advice or 2 then beginners advice and other things like [question] 1 = ask questions 2= ignore that, your prompt could be cool to use anywhere need in any prompt the first time you talk with chat gpt

One of the best characteristics of chatGpt is that it explains things simply and clearly. Having everything explained to you like you have an IQ of 300 would likely be counterintuitive and less effective.

#

In fact I usually ask it to explain things very simply.

hard kettle
eternal apex
#

Having it reply in a more complex manner (to a person with an IQ of 300) does not mean it will reply in a more factual manner. Regardless, if you've found it effective, that's good. It's amazing how impactful a well designed prompt can be.

How old is Messi ?

hard kettle
# ancient wyvern How old is Messi ?

Question: How old is Messi?

Model GPT-4 + using my Prompt:

Year difference: 2023 - 1987 = 36 years
Month difference: 3 (March) - 6 (June) = -3 months
Day difference: 22 - 24 = -2 days

Given that the month and day differences are negative, we need to adjust the year difference accordingly. We will borrow a year and convert it to months, then add it to the month difference. Similarly, we will borrow a month and convert it to days, then add it to the day difference.

Year difference adjusted: 36 - 1 = 35 years
Month difference adjusted: -3 + 12 = 9 months
Day difference adjusted: -2 + 31 (days in March) = 29 days

Hence, Lionel Messi is 35 years, 9 months, and 29 days old on March 22, 2023. It is imperative to note that this calculation assumes there are no discrepancies in the Gregorian calendar and that the number of days in March remains constant at 31.

This age calculation is based on a standard chronological approach and does not account for any relativistic effects due to the dilation of time as a result of velocity or gravitational fields, as these are negligible in the context of human experience on Earth.```

**Only Model GPT-4**
```Lionel Messi was born on June 24, 1987. As of today, March 22, 2023, he would be 35 years old.```
