Testing environment: Problem persists on current versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Edge for Windows, Firefox and Chrome for Android.

Steps taken: Have cleared cache and can confirm issue is present on multiple devices. Have attempted to reference information using keywords only present in prior conversations. ChatGPT does not show recognition of these keywords.

Additional notes: Current conversations being created are not being stored in the sidebar, and are not accessible from other devices despite simultaneous login. Given the lack of recognition of other conversations, I believe it is not an issue of sidebar conversation display, but of conversation loss and would recommend investigating the environment where such data is stored.

hey. I think i have found the error, to any of my programmer fellows, inspect when you go to chatgpt, there will be multiple errors in the console. Any person who is willing to fix the error please go on.

I assume that in this case, where it is obvious that this is a failure on the server side, detailed well-formed error reports do little to clarify the cause of the error. Simple message like "same here" is then only a sign and motivation for OpenAI to clarify the cause of the error and fix the fault.

So there seems to be a massive error in the case of indexing, but not to worry. the developers will be on this as soon as possible. I would reccomend you use the browser history to recover your chats

I type in the address bar in the browser https://chat.openai.com/chat/ and the browser shows me the uuid of the chat in the dropdown list. Fortunately I basically save all my conversations in a chat-item. I use Chromium browser.

You can recover your chats, if you look through history or search in your browser for chat.openai.com/chat/ and see one with random sequence of numbers, that would be one of your conversations. If this works for you, I recommend getting the extension "SaveGPT" and just typing something in that chat, or just copy it all and past it somewhere.

I got access to ChatGPT again, after being stuck on a login loop for an entire week. Unfortunately, for me, I had deleted cache and browser history when troubleshooting tje loop that I don't have a history of my chats. I also had deleted some extensions I had on Chrome, because they had stopped ChatGPT from updating chat (my phone was most used one) on PC. Now that I'm back, all my previous chats are gone. As expected clicking on Recover chats does nothing at all.

Frankly, it's a load of BS how for a week, some of us lost access only to return to an empty chat. I know some of my chats generated warnings, but wasn't anything directly in violation of policies, nor all the chats had generated flags to begin with. Further, it's ironic how the last thing I was trying to do right before ChatGPT went ballistic locking me out for a week, was clicking the Upgrade to Plus, because of the heavy traffic at the time. But as I understand, even subscriptions are disappearing. BTW, clearing cookies, login back in, didn't solve my issue. Repeatedly clicking restore chat history does nothing.

what I was doing was save whole chat to evernote to not lose access to them and use evernote to write a big text with whole content and creating new chat every time I lost it and reposting the text

For the missing chatgpt history to retrieve chats made before this problem occurred, you can open you browser history (assuming you didn't use chatgpt in private mode) and filter the history only to show chat.openai.com/chat

it' alrdy limited to 4K tokens on its contextual information, so long chat alrdy makes it fuzzy and lost, and if I keep a long chat and lose it it'll be trouble too, so it's better to take notes and save the whole chat and restart with a summarized context

currently I'm using it to help me setup a LXD container and I had a bunch of issues yesterday, these issues overwrite earliest actions and initial context, so it's better to restart summarizing what I had achieved and removing the issues

Guys! I just remembered that each chat has a specific url. CHECK YOUR BROWSING HISTORY (It worked for me)
You'll find the names of the chats you've created and you'll be able to access them without any problem since your browser keeps the recorded URL

While we're at it, to avoid the chat bug, I advise you to create a favorites folder in your browser each time you create a conversation with chatGPT. That way, you'll have access to all your conversations without having to search your browsing history, or hope that the conversation history provided by chatGPT works.

I do have a lot of particularly long conversations, and some of them have reached the length limit, so that might partially be the problem, the only thing i I could do during the outage was make new chats, which might also be screwing with me.

Chat history not working, send button not working and the best of all is that even an upgrade to plus button not working. the thing is that I can use a different account from a different google profile....
