The filters get in the way constantly
And the AI definitely breaks character too often
It works okay if you don't have too many instructions but as soon you have a bunch of specific rules it fails often
Yeah, I feel that ChatGPT is more of a generic ask/answer assistant chatbot than an all-purpose AI like GPT-3.0
But now that I think about it, it’s just like art generation: we use each models by its strengths and should not try too hard to force it to go against its weaknesses.
So I would stick to davinci for my bot when I need it to be playing a specific character/personality
Though the cost difference is a pain 
I'm gonna keep trying to get it to work because the cost savings is massive
I'll have to try different strategies I guess
But if nothing else, at least this will be useful for other things like summarization
Yeah the cost saving is huge
