Bug Report:

Steps to reproduce:

Everytime I make a generation, it generates infinitely, adding no new text. When I tell it to stop generating, it erases the entire generation, and says that an error has occurred. I have tried logging in and out, multiple browsers/phone and pc, and multiple internet connections, and it won't fix itself.

Expected result:
The text to finish generating automatically, or when told to stop generating text, for that generation to stay.

Actual result:
The text generates forever, and an error occurs when it is told to stop.

Additional information

Browser: Opera/Chrome
OS: Windows 10 / Android 12

This is really annoying. I've had a nice long thread with ChatGPT and it understands some fine technical details about my program that I'm writing.

I either have to:
A) Ask a question and terminate the reply before it finishes, or
B) Make a new thread.

With A, I can only ask one question more before the thread breaks again and can't 'remember' anything further. and B I have to explain everything to ChatGPT again which is infuriating, seeing as I'd have to do this every time the thread breaks. 🙄

I have the exact same problem as you guys, and it's happening earlier and earlier each time.

I also thought it was because it was too much text and it was crashing the chat, but now, this problem is happening very fast and it makes chats unusable.

Every time it seems to crash faster and faster.

When I had this bug last week not many people had a similar issues to me, I was so desperate at that time. Now I see that there are so many people （include official forum）with the same problem, so maybe the officials will see it!

I just tested the problematic chat again and surprisingly, I didn't encounter the issue this time. I'm not sure if it's just a matter of waiting it out.

if it's a generalized problem then the developers have to be aware of it and I'm guessing they're working on a fix; especially as the problem seems to be getting worse for us
