It's instructed not to engage in any controversial topics, or say or do anything which would be harmful to any living thing or person. It's prefiltered for inappropriate words and phrases, stopping inappropriate requests before they get to ChatGPT.
Each server can set their own API key, or optionally join the support server to purchase the premium plan to use one of my personal API keys. This option pays for any requests made on those API keys, and additionally contributes to the bot's hosting plan.
It's still in development for the most part, but it is stable and available for public use. Bugs are reported in the support server, and the bot unfortunately is no longer open-sourced, due to an attempt to steal API keys via injection. Several methods of sanitizing user input have since been implemented.
#Basic Discord bot using ChatGPT

How Can I test it?
Discord is the easiest way to communicate over voice, video, and text. Chat, hang out, and stay close with your friends and communities.
Where is to get API of ChatGPT?
you would need to use an official OpenAI API key, found at https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys
An API for accessing new AI models developed by OpenAI
But when I use this, I'll use the ChatGPT version (3.5) or Davinci?
if you use /chat, you're using the new 3.5 version, and if you use /aiprompt, its accessing text-ada-001, i believe
Okay, it's working
I think we could choose to the bot use a normal message instead box bot message to see more natural
embeds are better suited for the additional information which is attached, such as the latency, the prompt, and the user who requested it.
if a message were sent without using embeds, it would look like this:
ChatGPT
Prompt: --------- Requested by: example#0000
Response:
(pretend this is like 10 times longer than it actually is)
latency: 00ms
and that tends to take up quite a bit of space
I added this to my discord server, is it possible to adjust the settings such as temperature?
not yet, but once I have everything else straightened out, I'll start working on some of the fine details.
I will likely add a lot of that stuff once the bot is verified, since at that point it would be easier to set up
I'm planning on making a lot of those things like a custom temperature, etc, paid features, but anyone who started using the bot before theyre made into paid features will get them for free
btw, I'm looking for people who can help out with managing the bot, such as answering questions in the support server and submitting bug fixes, so if anyone's interested, just create an application in the support server
