I'm not able to get a full code without stopping. When I ask continue it's not working or it continues the code as a normal text instead of a code block. It's really frustrating because I'm trying to get a longer code for a personal project and it does not work.

This has consumed plenty of my time over the last few days as well. When asking it to cut the code into halves to successfully give me the complete code, it'll oftentimes get confused and forget large chunks of code or omit them, and despite giving a proper character count, it will not display the proper code.
also when asking it to repeat a specific portion of the code, it hasn't yet been consistent.

Yes I completely agree, the character limit is absolutely ridiculous. I for one find it absurd that when coding I regularly ask GPT why this code issue might be occurring because I cant find the issue (invariably a wrong } or an unwanted ;).
When I try to paste my code it just says its too long.... 'GPT is optimising usability so we are limiting the character count....blah'.
OK, So I paste the relevant function and code chunk.... Chat GPT then says i cant make an informed suggestion without seeing the rest of the code for context.
It's just a really dumb 'captains call' decision to limit code, text or any input.
