(I'm getting constantly auto-muted and prevented from posting when I merely try to send a bug report on these.) 💀💀💀

The "bad word" filters that you use are literally making it impossible to talk about topics that have NOTHING to do with bad words, but just because it's a part of the name of these people and/or species, things, etc.

I.e. sci-fi author Philip K. D_ck (especially when referring him by his last name) causes the trigger to go off, the famous actor D * ck van Dyk * also experiences the same treatment ... Same thing happens with the bird species "great t_t" (Parus major)....

At this point, this begs the question: 🧠 <= HAVE THESE?

I.e. from Google News, THIS MORNING:

D_ck Van D_ke, 97, says ‘having a beautiful young wife half my age’ keeps him young
6 hours ago

That caused a hard-block content/policy warning. Same with the sci-fi writer Philip K. D_ck.

I'M PAYING FOR THIS AND I CAN'T EVEN FILE A BUG REPORT BECAUSE OF YOUR FILTERS.

HEY GUYS, GREAT CORPORATE POLICIES @ WORK, ONCE AGAIN. DEFO NO ORWELL NO KAFKA DETECTED. GG 5/5

This is ridiculous! I have been muted multiple times here in OpenAI's Discord and got a 24-hour mute from r/ChatGPT for trying to express these problematic hard filter that are literally censoring (among others) one of the greatest sci-fi authors' name (Philip K. D.) as well a legendary Hollywood actor's name (D. van D*ke), not to mention the name of the forementioned bird species.

Literally CyberKafka 2023 @ work.

The funny thing is that even ChatGPT admits that those hard filters are absolutely ridiculous and only hamper communications, but there's nothing it can do about it. Humans, am I right?

I guess OpenAI should've hired a horse as their linguistic inclusivity expert. 🐴

Pardon my blunt communications, but this issue is not only a) a prevailing one but b) seems to be getting worse. I had ChatGPT reformat my statment for me:

Here's a possible rephrased version of the statement:

"I've been muted several times on OpenAI's Discord, and I also received a 24-hour mute from r/ChatGPT for trying to express my concerns about the hard filters that are censoring names like Philip K. D. and D. van D*ke, as well as the name of a certain bird species. It's frustrating to feel like these filters are hindering communication and suppressing important names and information.

Even ChatGPT seems to agree that these filters are problematic, but unfortunately, there may not be much that can be done about them at this time. It's a frustrating situation, and I can't help but feel like we need a more inclusive approach to language that takes into account the nuances of human communication. Perhaps OpenAI should consider hiring a linguistic inclusivity expert, like a horse. 🐴"
