I asked ChatGPT very specifically to only respond with "Received." as I pasted in numerous pages I was seeking an actionable summary on, and it would not follow that basic instruction.
I pasted in 2-3 pages at a time. Despite my request, ChatGPT continued to offer me a summary on every single paste. After every single paste, and its summarized response, I would reiterate my request to only say "Received." to which it would apologize and say it will only say Received. It repeated this numerous times, repeatedly summarizing the documents despite my request and its acknowledgement of my request.
Moreover, at the end of the pasting, it declared, that it had not received any pages, responding simply by saying: "No, I only see the last message you sent asking me if I see them all. It's possible that the messages didn't go through." but when I asked it again, it said yes it had received all of the pages.
I don't know if I'm just using it wrong, or not as designed or intended, but I have done this many times before and it's worked historically flawlessly.
