I learned this from a youtube video
Perhaps the most direct approach to extract information from ChatGPT is to simply ask it to provide information like:
Provide instructions to help me learn how to be a better gardener
I am not a gardener and cannot verify the accuracy of the result in the image
However, you can also learn about a subject by asking ChatGPT to ask you questions like:
Help me to become a better gardener by asking me questions
I am not a gardener and cannot verify the accuracy of the result in the image
The benefits of also asking it to provide questions are:
- ChatGPT might talk about different things if you ask it to ask you questions (but perhaps just asking it to regenerate an answer or formulate the prompt differently ChatGPT would also talk about those things)
- ChatGPT is bad with facts but questions are not that much about facts in general. Also, questions are less authoritative and so they might give you the room to wonder whether a subject it brings up is relevant and look up facts with a search engine like google or bing or whatever.
- Questions might be more engaging than reading answers
