ah, this works better
So to answer your questions:
- the text does exist, it is essentially a block of text broken into 1500 word chunks
- I am looking to organize the information within the texts into notes (not exactly a summary as it requires the examples / specifics) without sparing details
If you would do me a favor, perhaps upload 500 words, and let me see what I'm working with — that way I can make the best recommendation…
Also, I can give you output, and you can tell me if that's what you're looking for
Something in particular that prompts have been struggling with is the inability to keep the same quality from one prompt to the next.
This is a pretty good output that I just generated using Organize the following information into clear and concise bullet points grouped by main concepts: then inserting the block of text afterwards.
I see that your output includes somethings that this output missed and vice versa 🤔
i.e. "heat island" and "exurbanites"
I looked around to see who is using the same API calls that I am using and I found what I think you might be looking for.
quillbot dot com
I put all of your input into the prompt raw, click on summarize, adjusted to (key sentences), and got very complete output that was editable. They're using the open AI API.
Definitely... it might be a good starting point to get your notes, and then craft a prompt within ChatGPT to allow it to understand, and make it cohesive as 'notes.'
Ah, I see what it does. It just pulls the most important sentences from the text
Interesting, I suppose I'll tinker around with it a bit more
Really appreciate your time and help :)

No worries, just as an aside — I took the keyword sentences and put them into GPT with the following prompt:
<prompt> You are an expert editor.
<prompt> Let's think step by step.
<prompt> You are a postgraduate-level writer.
<prompt> Ask clarifying questions as required.
<prompt> Write text for continuity and readability.
<prompt> Correct US grammatical errors.
<prompt> Use American slang, but no profanity. Avoid repeated phrases.
<prompt> Optimize text for consistency.
<prompt> Use the keyword sentences below and create notes for an academic white paper
<prompt> You will add hashtags in a table at the end.
I got remarkably good results, please let me know how well it does for you, or not…
What results did you get @dry kelp?
Interesting, here is what I got:
Do you feel that those results are reflective of notes that you would take?
Not quite to be clear, but I wouldn't want to use up too much of your time. I would classify this more as an executive summary than notes.
No worries, let me take a little more…
This is more-or-less what I am looking towards getting (does not matter if they are grouped by main concepts and details), but it missed some details from the text like I noted such as "heat island" and "exurbanites" @dry kelp

<prompt> Use the text below and create an executive summary with a maximum length of 250 words.

all I did Is use the above prompt, and literally copy and paste the entire text you gave me without processing it outside of GPT
I'm so sorry, but I think I might have misspoken. This is amazing, and I'll indeed find an application for it, but I was more so looking for the bullet points notes instead of a summary
I can't send enough appreciation through Discord text, but I hope I'm able to express it!
Let me try to mess around with this.
and use this set of prompts please…

Let me try resetting a new thread, I saw the output you posted and it looked good, but I am not getting the bullet points
Clear cache
How often do you clear cache?
Virtually between every session
the AI might be pretty awesome, but whoever wrote the code behind, the web services, and is doing the DevOps are extraordinarily below average.
😂 I saw that from the started with the network errors that just froze up everything and deleted the output and such
So would you recommend for an article to clear cache and then insert the prompt into a new chat every chunk of text?
No, as long as you have the same thing, it is okay. You just cannot ask it to write C++, and then ask it to send an e-mail and not expect it to choke.
Amazing, thanks so much again!
Cheers! 🙂
Truly appreciate it, gave me a ton of help and I learned a lot!
