Same issue here but I only get it when connected to my company's VPN network. When I disconnect, I get a proper response from the bot. Other users do not have this problem.

Unfortunately, you have to turn the whole "Web Protection" feature off, it doesn't work if you just allow chat.openai.com

Day 1: Uses Android Phone, Chrome browser
Day 2: Uses PC - Chrome browser - No issue
Day 3: Uses PC - Chrome browser gets: "An error occurred. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com.", Android Phone, Chrome no issue. Switch to Edge on PC, successfull uses
Day 4: Try Edge on PC again: "An error occurred. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com.", Android phone, chrome, still successfull
Day 5: uses Edge on Work PC, successfull usage the entire day.
Day 6: Edge on Work PC gets: "An error occurred. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com.", Android phone chrome browser still works no issue..

Hello, no I'm not using any form of a VPN. This issue seems to be less prone with a Plus-account. I went from literally never succeeding at getting a response on my laptop to at leasty getting half-way through with GPT-4 and seemingly (so far) getting it all the way through on the previous models. It is almost as if there's a cut-off depending on how well the model communicates with your device, if there's a data issue of some sort it appears to me that it doesn't continue. I figure that's the only meaningful difference I could come up with that would make a Plus-account work but not a free one.
