Just copy and paste the prompt and put it into chat gpt, it starts at “HERE: Act as a…”

#

So, I copied and pasted all of the text. What next? Thanks.

opal latch
#

input the amount of text your teacher assigned for you to read and after that just ask the reading questions that normally come after

#

for example first you would copy and paste this into chat gpt

#

then you would copy and paste the questions that came with it and it’ll answer every question as if you had read and done it yourself

Thanks for the prompt reply and example, appreciated. Just to be clear, there's no need to type the word 'Here:' first before the text?

opal latch
#

nope don’t include the “Here” that was just so people knew that’s where the prompt would be located sorry

Ugh I'm trying to make a prompt in where ChatGPT revises an essay to add a creative, self-reflective style to it. Though it seems whenever I try giving it additional info it just becomes repetitive and ignorant

#

Any ideas?

maybe try this prompt i just made it 0ff the description you told me so may be a little wonky:
Act as a creative writing tool, the AI-powered tool will help writers revise their essays by adding a self-reflective tone. Utilizing NLP algorithms, it will analyze writing style, tone, and language to suggest modifications that will enhance the introspective and creative aspect of the essay. The tool will offer suggestions for changing sentence structures, replacing words with more descriptive and emotionally charged synonyms, and adding elements such as metaphors and similes. Designed with a user-friendly interface, the tool will guide writers through the revision process, making it easy to use. With its ability to add depth and creativity to writing, this tool will be a valuable resource for writers looking to make their essays unique and impactful. @fierce jungle

Thanks, yeah getting the prompt to function has proved slightly difficult, though maybe some context could help. https://writingspaces.org/past-volumes/grammar-rhetoric-and-style/

Assignment: This assignment is an opportunity to consider your identity within a discourse community and how the goals and characteristics of the community are shaped, reinforced, and challenged through language and means of communication. Compose a personal narrative essay where you highlight an experience (or a sequence of experiences) within your discourse community. As yourself: How does language determine who has access to this community and who does not, who is welcomed and who is excluded? How does language account for your sense of belonging within the community?

Genre and Purpose: Narratives examine the stories we tell ourselves rather than recounting them. Narrative essays require writers to develop a controlling idea (a clear purpose for writing), describe and analyze related experiences, and critically reflect upon these events to distill meaning. Writing a discourse community narrative provides you with an opportunity to consider your relationship to the ideals and discourse.
Audience: As with most academic writing, the audience for this assignment includes classmates and the professor; however, what is distinct to this work is that it should be written with community peers. Therefore, it should inform a broad audience of readers while also remaining true to the identity of the selected community.

Maybe it's cause ChatGPT doesn't have enough information in my sample essay and that is perhaps why it isn't working as well?

I also attempted giving a sample essay for it's style and structure, though I explicitly stated not to "COPY" the sample essay, it insists to do so

thanks for the feedback as I don’t test the prompts as thoroughly myself so all the feedback is the best feedback
