Now Resolved for Me in Australia. was I used debit Mastercard. n several messages below people have reported that they are unable to upgrade to ChatGPT Plus because of CC issues. Could someone from OpenAI, please acknowledge the issue and provide an ETC when we can upgrade. Many thanks.

I can not complete the payment because Your credit card was declined. Try paying with a debit card instead. warming is triggered. What can I do?

Same issue. I'm upgrading from Vietnam, all my working cards are declined. It's probably an issue with Stripe

I reached out to STRIPE - they are the credit card processor who does all the payments for ChatGpt/OpenAI (aka stripes client) - and have confirmed its NOT being blocked OR declined by STRIPE but its an issue with the merchant themselves (OpenAI) and the software their using to process subscriptions and end user accounts (aka customers). which means OpenAI software is the issue - NOT your credit card or the credit card payment processor. OpenAI you need to bug hunt and correct this issue otherwise people won't be able to sign up. (edited)

Yea seems like almost everyone outside of the US is having this issue, even though they've prompted us with a popup that says its available in our countries

yes, I'm sure they'll sort out, it's a bit of a glitch, is there anywhere else we can post to make sure they see this issue?

Same issue in Switzerland. Tried with 2 debit cards and 3 credit cards.
