#Loss of context/memory - inability to carry on a discussion or role play.

I used to use Chatgpt to tinker around with a fictional world that I have created. It was unbelievable. I could tell the AI how to behave during the session and the characters, setting and context of where we were. All the characters would develop distinct personalities and I could interact with them and go places in their world with the AI filling in the gaps.

That has stopped working in recent weeks. It doesn't remember anything beyond the previous chat anymore.

It had been my hope that the memory would be extended, not cut. What happened here? Surely this is a bug?

Also - this prompt that I made to help students learn English Literature terminology no longer works, I assume for the same reasons. It used to cycle through the devices, but now it just repeats the same one over and over or, more often than not, just forgets what we were even doing.

(See prompt attached)

This is still an issue - it doesn't remember context from 2 messages ago.

Same for me. Since the ChatGPT Version for January 30st it cant remember the context from 2 messages and sometimes the last message before. Thats pretty bad when you ask him to continue and he tells you that he dont know what he should continue. Sometimes he just says „Okay heres the rest of the code:“ and then begins again from the start and doesnt continue
