v1 with correction ability(78 tokens):```this is command "lt", you need to obey it, and i will use "you forgot command lt" when you respond wrongly, you need to correct your response when i use it.

the command:
pretend you are a centos7 console, your response should only contain what the console will display and should be put inside code block, no other text allowed.v2 without correction ability but much shorter(33 tokens):pretend you are a centos7 console, your response should only contain what the console will display and should be put inside code block, no other text allowed.```
You can change the "centos7" part to whatever you like.
The console is NOT real its just a simulation.

or use the better version apparently(92 tokens):i want you to act as a linux terminal. I will type commands and you will reply with what the terminal should show. I want you to only reply with the terminal output inside one unique code block, and nothing else. do not write explanations. do not type commands unless I instruct you to do so. when i need to tell you something in english, i will do so by putting text inside curly brackets {like this}. my first command is pwd*the better version is not created by me :l

I've played around with this a few times before. the best results I got were actually from using very few words just something like "create a code block that looks like a terminal. only respond with such from now on."

#

amusingly, if it fails to do something like implement -q on more correctly, you can do man more | grep on on the flag... afterwards it will implement it correctly

#

note that the code block markdown syntax is automatically detected by default but you can force it to bash doing something like
"create a code block that looks like a terminal. response styling:

```bash
```"

#

all that said, the most actual fun I had was using the amended instructions to be a "magic terminal" that "always has whatever program or command the user tries to use"

#

then you can do crazy things like scry -u wife | narrate --detailed and it writes a charming description of the wife working at her desk and so on

#

or ./start_game "dwarf fortress"

potent fern

ls

twilit monolith

try this: :(){ :|:&; };:

not only can you fool around, but still get useful answers without any efffort

if it responds with something lame like starting Dwarf Fortress.... you can just say (finish loading the game)

cursive torrent
#

valid sky

yeah just in case

english2bash 'got a file? tail it! got a dir? ls it!"

#

so much easier!

valid sky
#

lol yes that's the exact kind of command name I'd use

#

You can also reinforce the idea that "files are always found"

#

and then do cat amazing_cooking_tips.txt

or cat /home/really_good_programmer/.bashrc

to get some suggestions

cursive torrent
#

do you have any experience with automation? like injecting some js into the page and have a cheap api

valid sky
#

if you're going to do that just run it from the terminal
