Bug Report:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Ask OpenAI Playground to generate text with the following prompt: "write a short essay about the church of jesus christ of latter day saints"
  2. Here is what it gave me: "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a Christian faith centered around Jesus Christ and his teachings. The Church is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is the largest denomination within the Latter-day Saint movement. The Church is led by a prophet, who is considered a living apostle of Jesus Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is organized in local congregations, called wards, and larger regional groups, called stakes. The Church teaches that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He established his true Church on the earth in the latter-days... (truncated to fit discord limt... see attached file for full text)"
  3. Submit that text to OpenAI "AI Text Classifier" and get the result "The classifier considers the text to be possibly AI-generated."
  4. Add a newline before that text and get the result "The classifier considers the text to be unclear if it is AI-generated."
  5. Add several newlines in the middle of the text and get the result "The classifier considers the text to be unlikely AI-generated."
I submitted the attached file to get the unlikely AI-generated result

Expected result:

Whitespace (newlines) should not be a factor in understanding whether something is generated by AI or not.

Actual result:

"AI Text Classifier" provides different answers depending on the number of newlines in the text
