I've been building an app to bring your Slack, Gmail and all your other work tools into one unified inbox experience and it has been pretty cool seeing everything in one place - think being able to view, organise, action and find all your inboxes and messages in one place. No more noise so you’re free to focus on what matters to you.
Every day we’ve got users sending thousands of messages: long emails to clients, or thread replies to colleagues in Slack etc. All of this takes up so much time and it can be difficult to think how best to phrase a reply (we recently had an autistic user tell us they find getting the tone right on email/Slack really hard).
So, when OpenAI launched ChatGPT, I thought we could put it to good use to make life easier when having to deal with constant noise of real-time collaboration.
The API was so straightforward to hook up to the backend and we’ve now got it running smoothly! You can reply to a long thread in Slack in one click or use the AI assist to formulate an email response of your choice, in the tone of your choice! I think this could have a real impact on how easy it is to navigate tricky work comms or just fly through your inbox that little bit quicker.
