Updated the above devlog with some new work on NPC dialog.
Had a brief conversation with the NPC Ezra, who was generated when I made "a magic village" and added "a scroll shop". https://i.imgur.com/dw0D3jj.png

Highlights include random creature generation based on any arbitrary location that the game generates. I generated a smithy, and "caught" this there:
