Hey, I am replying in thread 🧵 I agree with you. It’s so important that it has to be free and open-source so it can be accessible to everyone. It would also be easier to scrutinize it (security, privacy, bugs. Etc).
@hollow notch I actually started such an initiative with some peers, called GUT-AI, but it is still at a very primitive stage.

Chat GPT still has some serious defects and bugs that need to be addressed before it's ready for prime time, particularly with respect to its propensity to churn out erroneous and misleading answers to a host of questions!
