Using dates and eras in your prompts can simplify things and increase your chances of getting a coherent image.

Every word in the prompt becomes a goal for the AI. As complexity increases, it becomes harder for the AI to come up with a good solution. Using dates and eras is a simple way to have the AI fill in period details and color schemes without having to specify them directly.
Don't be afraid to be simple or abstract with your subjects! Feel free to experiment! The happiest of accidents can happen when you try something new. You can think of the AI as your collaborator and be delighted by what it comes up with rather than needing to control details.
You can get a general art style by referring to a date when that style was popular. The Baroque period (17th–18th century) originated in Italy in the 17th century and flourished elsewhere well into the 18th century. Here is “Friends. 1700”.

If the period you want had photography, you can expect to get a lot of photos as a default art style. “Friends. 1900.”

If you combine a date with an art style cue you can get period clothing and other stylistic effects easily. Here is “Friends. 1960. comic book art.”

The AI is terrible at spelling, by the way. It can only produce a few words that are very common in the training data. You can remove unwanted text effects and other artifacts by editing your image with the inpainting tools.
Here is “Friends. 1400. medieval illuminated manuscript. gold leaf.”

You also can specify eras by referring to them generally, as in “Friends. neolithic cave painting.”
