I remember it got a lot of hate on launch. But, I spent hours on my first day just walking on my starter planet.
I like doing mundane basic tasks in games like this. Collecting things, not really interacting with anyone.

i played a LOT in the early days. hit the centre a couple of times even before the first big patch came out. I remember my first black hole - so emotional that I could never return to the starting planets. it was a very different game back then

it was a small team that unexpectedly made AAA$ off of a wave of hype only partly their own making. it was the right thing to follow it through, and I'm sure they've been able to afford it to refine an obvious passion project
