#Lock Screen

He’s using a third-party Lock Screen customization software or launcher and that’s what is taking control over the Lock Screen
No, I thought the same thing but he has never changed anything on it since I gave it to him. He’s not very tech savvy
Like I said, none of this ever showed up until he updated it
This definitley isn't due to an update, this is a third party lockscreen.
Do you mind sending us a list of the apps?
I did a factory reset on it before I gave it to him and he hasn’t installed anything on it since. It’s literally just the factory installed apps.
I can confirm that this is absolutely nothing to do with One UI.
This looks nothing like One UI. Either it is a third party launcher or, rarely, a fake phone
Is there any news app installed on the phone?
It’s not a fake phone. I got it from Verizon. Like I’ve said before, it’s completely factory reset and he has not installed anything. He only uses it for a phone and to text and the occasional google search. He doesn’t really like a lot of tech. I even deleted all the bloatware that was on it (i.e. games) since he doesn’t play any games. I realize you guys are trying to help and I appreciate the comments but this is just turning in to a mystery that may not be solvable. May have to reset it again but he’s not too keen on that idea. He says he’s gotten used to it but I still feel like there should be a way to get rid of it if you don’t want it.
Could you please show us a list of the apps, I just want to comb through and make sure there's nothing suspicious.
It is not a fake phone. But please show us your apps list
You can find that in Settings > Apps > press the volume down and side button to take a screenshot > when the toolbar appears, keep pressing the 2 down arrows button until it reaches the end of the list
Wouldn't that image be compressed though...
We can open in browser for full res
Only gets compressed in app
Ohhh
