#S23 Ultra Black Screen but Touchscreen works

Hi all, the display on my S23 Ultra has stopped working, the screen is black but the touchscreen still works and I can dismiss calls by swiping. The phone also vibrates when you take out the S-Pen/plug in a charger.

I have tried to connect the phone to a TV/Monitor using a USB C to HDMI cable but the monitor doesn't detect anything (I assume because the phone is locked).

Is there anyway I can recover the data (plugging into my laptop doesnt do anything), for example disconnecting the current screen and attaching a temporary one to the connector on the back of the phone (suggested to me by an authorised service centre)

This happened to me with my s21+ The best way to go with is possibly replacing the screen did you happen to drop your phone in the past 3 months or less

the service guy said you could go to a local shop and someone could disconnect the attached screen cable and connect a spare one so thqt i can trasnfer my data, but im guess touch wouldnt work on the spare one?

Replace the screen

Also try and get at least like a backup phone
