No one reads the description so comment...
Which Wisp looks better to you?
@agile arrow @vagrant stone @obsidian orchid

Black
i have no knowledge of the game but the left one looks cool

partially biased cus i try to not use black or white so purple, but yeah black looks good too

This is... Something.

Hm....

farm!
Easiest Junction fight.
👍
Hm....
I forgot wisp had all that
She always did.
They added this thing called the Duviri Paradox.
Duviri paradox?
Yeah.
It's a kingdom.
You have to put together a doll in a world that changes due to mood swings.
It's more or less a sort of dream.... Probably.
Gameplay is different from regular Warframe.
But you can get frames via grinding Duviri.
Reattempted Scarlet Colors for Umbra.
Casual music and CHAOS.
EXACTLY.
Oh those are STELLAR.
i have a color pallette i tend to put on everyone as my signature thing i like to call "burnt PB&J"
cuz black brown and purple lol
i mean i personally like it but i've seen someone treat it like i made a warcrime on their eyes as well XD
As long as you like it, it'll work.
Mine's real heavy on Blue and Purple.
I actually got Wisp because I wanted to use the free skin I got.
A guy hooked me up with the blueprints, and I was rocking the grind.
Worth.
Even bought a Tennogen.
I see the appeal.

i wonder what the overlap is on Nikke and warframe players LOL
I'm curious myself.
apparently not many given i don't even have to scroll down to see the members list of this thread

Heh.
but yeah warframe has kinda gotten to the "long running MMORPG" thing where you start off and the game is relatively not super deep on layers
but all the new features and content creep has added a lot more systems on top of each other that just keep making you be like "ok wtf am i unlocking now"
I've noticed that.
but for the most part its in a good way as most things aren't burried behind 20 menus like many other mmorpgs
but on the flipside a lot of the simpler stuff you kinda need wiki open
cuz its not really explained well in game
Yeah, I appreciate that too. Despite the sheer amount of items, there's a somewhat simple way to see and use em.
Yeah, for a lot of good material grinding spots, I poked around online.
And I discovered too late that argon crystals expire.
Now I know I need to use em at once.
then you start getting to shit like this
how many more colors of mods are they gunna add
rainbow builds

Oh yeah... That's the one thing I don't quite understand yet.
I use em, yeah.
But the arcanes I got aren't compatible... Yet.
that's the only thing in the game that expires luckily, still feel like they should sunset that mechanic though since its so random even though there's "lore reason" for it
Yeah. Even my brother got bugged by it.
which part of it do u not understand, if there's anything i like doing it's yapping when it comes to helping new people with the giant wall of mechanics that is warframe
For instance... Knowing how to fill that up with proper mods. The cost levels trip me up.
I got a ton of junk mods I should clear out, but...
one thing i guess i should start with mentioning is that you should, for all intents and purposes, completely disregard the color/rarity of the mod
Huh. Ok.
there are still many bronze mods used even in endgame. all the color is an indicator for basically nowadays is how much it costs to upgrade the mod with endo/credits
as its more expensive the higher rarity it is
Whoa.
second recommendation is that its similar to many other upgrade systems in games that have the mechanic of getting same power per level but at exponential cost
so like if i go down 1 rank on the white mod, it only costs 20k endo and like 980k instead of 40k and 2million respective
but the stat boost from the effect only drops to 150 from 165%
every rank of the mod gives a 15% bonus to the effect but you're paying like double each time
so if you're new, the max u should really go to for rank 10 mods is around 6-7 as that's when it kinda exits the realm of reasonable resource cost for the same gain per rank you got for pennies at first
Oh, ok.
That way, you make the most of the stat increase.
I remember watching a video where the guy said don't max your mods.
correct, what's the point in paying nearly 1million more credits and 20k endo for a 15% boost to the effect going from rank 9 to rank 10, when you got a 15% boost to the effect at the start for like 10k credits and like 500 endo lol for rank 1 to rank 2
its just extremely inefficient and is only for min-maxing when u dont really have much else to spend on
as for the actual capacity thing, you already know each warframe starts at 30 cap at max level yeah?
Yeah, rank 30 is the max rn for me.
But I've seen Tenno with rank 60 frames. Or I'm probably just seeing things.
yeah you were seeing things, or at least just misunderstanding it
there are 2 ways to increase ur capacity past 30
Then how?
1 being aura mods(the top left slot), they effect the entire squad in terms of what the mod does, but it also instead of using up mod capacity, actually GIVES you capacity
OH.
so like the corrosive projection mod at the top of my wisp build
is giving me 14 capacity
cuz just like if you max the symbol of a mod to a slot that has it, it costs half the capacity, the opposite is true for aura mods, it will give double the capacity benefit if the symbol matches
so corrosive projection normally gives 7 capacity but since the symbol matches its giving 14
instead of it costing 14 normally and going down to 7 if symbol matches like how all other mod slots work
Ok.
the second way to increase mod capacity which is to use an orokin reactor/catalyst(depending if its a weapon or warframe) which is a permanant 1 time use per item thing
which permanantly doubles the max capacity of the thing in question
so 30 cap warframe now has 60 capacity
plus the extra capacity from aura mod
you don't really want to throw around using orokin reactors/catas early since most warframes have a "prime" version that you'd always want to use over the normal, so save it for them
but there are many weapons that don't have a prime version so its fine to use it on those, if they are good of course
Oh.
I used some on my Wisp Prime, Loki Prime and Yareli, iirc.
And that Exilus adapter.
Adds more mod options.
yeah wisp and yareli are fine since wisp prime is a...well prime obviously XD and i think yareli prime is still a ways away so if you want to enjoy the max usage out of her then its ok. loki i think just got a rework and it happened while i was away so i can't say if it was a great idea or not but im also not here to make you regret your decisions
usually they auto come with an orokin thing installed by default when its a reward
did that one not?
He did.
oh you just meant u used the exlius on him
I'd have to check the companion app.
I know it's also on that free Styanax they gave out.
which is pog cuz styanax is goated
its hilarious cuz they gave him a mod that just turns him into an unkillable support that basically can make ur team semi immortal as well
BRILLIANT.
in this game warframes do infact have "signature" mods that augment each of their respective 4 abilities
A fellow Tenno told me about that.
overguard is basically the endgame effect that makes you nigh unkillable
you have 2 "guards" in game, a shield gate and an overguard gate. by that i mean if your shields break, you have a few seconds of complete damage immunity so you don't just insta die
Huh.
it does the same with overguard when its broken and its back to your normal shields though the time is much much smaller of damage immunity window
but
if you keep getting even 1 point of overguard
you keep getting the damage gate
that's overshield, different mechanic
Oh, ok.
naming convensions go brrr
that's shield gate yep
You're invincible at that point.
same thing happens with overguard for a fraction of that time
and also the duration of the shield gate(not overguard) depends on how much total shield you had, up to a certain point. basically to just counteract if you use shield reduction strats along with shield recharge time mods to basically keep regaining a sheild gate that comes back up instantly
so like if you have 500 total shield you get 0.5 seconds of shield gate but if you had 2000 total shield you'd get like 1.5 seconds of shield gate damage immunity
those aren;'t the actual numbers, but just example
it also makes hildryn hilarious
well
hildyrn has very little hp
her gimmick is that she uses her shield as her energy bar
and she has uh...a LOTTA shield to say the least
and just for an extra fuck u to enemies trying to kill her
she has the longest shield gate in the game
Makes sense.
some warframes have no shields
and just have high hp pools, like inaros, kullervo, and nidus
overguard for them is basically shield gating
Oh yeah...
I gotta study them a bit more.
Appreciate this. Now I need to better optimize my Frames.
yeah im not meaning to overwhelm you with random tidbits that you don't need though so i won't go to ham with it
and srry if i did already XD
main takeaways from this is just:
-mod rarity is not an accurate indicator for how good it is, its more of just a cost teller
-leave rank 10 mods at around lvl6, 7 at most early on, it is extremely inefficient to go any further
-aura mods and orokin reactors/cataylsts are how you increase your mod capacity past the base 30
-shield gating exists
yep yep, feel free to add me if u want btw, maybe helping a new peep might pull me back into the game as well lol
also this is A-ok, melee weapons are nuts in this game so messing with guns isn't entirely neccesary :P
i mean that's excals entire identity anyway lol
True, and it's amazing.
oh yeah here's something you probably didn't know unless ur friend told you that is actually somewhat important laterish
you can go past 100% crit
and its not a bad thing
yeah there's tiers of crits. and it changes color up until 300%
yellow/orange/red and then just stays red but the tier still increases past that
Reminds me of a bow if built correctly.....
It's disgusting how much it deals.
yeah you get literally the best bow in the game for free from story so, you'll be eating good there
Can't wait.
unlimited ammo, one of the highest base crit rate values in the entire game, goated crit damage mulitplier, yeah you can't really go wrong at all XD
only downside is that it has a unique gimmick where u have to do perfectly timed shots to get those stat values
but the window is rather forgiving
so unless ur hyper boomer its fine
ah that's a take away i also mention, base stats are the most important thing in this entire game basically when it comes to the modding system
cuz mods effect base stats mulitiplicatively. and to keep things out of the very nerdy math realm by putting it another way, if you have 10% crit rate as base stat on a weapon and you put on a mod that gives 100% crit rate, it increases the weapon's crit to 20%
so when modding, look at the base stats in terms of the crit rate, crit damage, and status chance to see which one is more worth building around. there's not much point in putting crit rate mods on a weapon with 5% base crit as you could put literally every single mod for it on and maybe only go up to like 30%
but it has like 50% base status chance and the same amount of mod investment to status mods brings that shit up to like 200% lol
(there are additive effects in the game though, just not in mods, like there's a separate system called arcanes, and there one that adds 45% flat crit chance to ur weapon when u take damage so if you have 5% base crit you now have 50% crit chance)
that's it for my tedtalk
oh yeah be sure to grab the free color pallette in market btw if you haven't already
the game always has free color pallettes on major holidays/celebrations. like St.Patricks, Christmas, Halloween, etc.
Ur welcome. I always have to remember how much wordier stuff looks on mobile than pc tho
Its like...4 lines of text on pc but its like 20 on mobile for same amount of text
Makes it look nuts xD
the new warframe coming out actually looks really sick for a support frame
wan the new ember skin
That Yareli skin tease tho.
And yeah, that Ember skin is very nice.
I should unlock her for that skin, ngl.
Need a new slot. Or three.

Get yourself up to speed on how each damage and status type works in Warframe.
(Except railjack - they're meaningless. Crew pew pew the fighters, seeker volley go brrrr, big gun the big ships, and boarding uses normal damage types again. There, saved you what would be a five minute section on nothing)

I recommend this vid as status effects are very important
Dont mind 2023, they make changes to the damage/status effect system once every couple of years
Its still up to date
theyre changing next update
Ain't no way
Like full rework or just tweaks?

magnetic blast and cold mostly
they trying to make the useless elements good
and tenet glaxion will be a lot stronger after
cuz its elements will be better
Fair enough, @high topaz ignore what ken says in the video about blast and magnetic then cuz those are changing. But i didnt hear anything else new about any changes in the video u sent V0
Like past those 2, at least in the second they spoke about
But maybe the youtuber cut it out for flow since only thing matters is "blast/mag good now" rather than the other changes made
Oh yeah, I caught the dev stream myself.
They're reworking quite a bit.
I even went back to see that Yareli.
It might grow on me.
Yeah systematic stuff but im just solely talking about in regards to the element system
I bought one for myself and a friend right before they reworked how to obtain it and made it piss easy
I still regret that day xD
frost changes seem to say that freeze is going to be a mechanic of cold procs not just the frame, unless they change it before launch but we'll see
got mech during venom so it was easy to level while doing the event
Literally lol.
Easiest Warframe I've ever gotten...
ah limbo my beloved
my second or third most used frame
i forgor
but definately in my top 3 most used
Good stuff.
Frame up.
@high topaz jade kinda hard to fashion but i think i did fine
its mainly just cuz her body colors so badly
the dress is fine imo. it's mainly just about the material of it
like 95% of colors look bad on it due to the material
New War ftw.
Ey nice~ how you liking the story so far or have you been pretty brain off with it?
Story was pretty intense.
Had a lot of fun tho.
I ended up choosing Natah.
And now the only quests left are Duviri, Zariman, Revenant, and....
The Gambit.
I've pretty much caught up.
Now to have some REAL fun.
Working towards Jade.
Ey very nice
I only have done 1 run of the event so far, cuz i just straight up bought the pack that had her and all her weapons cuz i didnt have any potatoes(orokin reactors/catalysts) on me for the double capacity
So it was the best way to basically get 4 potatoes on a character i was going to use 3 out of the 4 items from anyway
Do you have a favorite quest so far?
Like in terms of the plot or the presentation from cutscenes or anything
Jade Shadows for feels. The Sacrifice for feels as well.
The New War for the Intensity!
The funniest and easiest quest was Limbo's.
Bro miscalculated.
What's the price of a litch with an ephemera
50-200
I killed them by mistake

But at least I got a cool ice ephemera it looks good on my nekros prime
I sold it for 70 plat

Arson
Around 4 and a half years ago, I released my second actual video: the Status Tier List. The game has changed a LOT since then, so after nearly half a decade I've decided to give it another go around. This video will explore several fundamental concepts, how each status works in detail, and my reasoning as to their placement on the list. I hope y...
Ordis just has tourettes
holy shit you right
buh
Mr0 (mastery rank 0 ) most common to brand new players in warframe, since players with this rank usually rank up in order to unlock many more things, systems and content!
Ranking up is very easy, craft some things, level them, rank up.
But what if one never ranked up? How difficult would it make things? How challenging would the hardest content ...
