Admin UI and Payload Types not being generated on save

Hey all - back in Payload mode; it's been a while.

I'm adding some features to an existing project, and notice the admin ui doesn't update, nor do the types get regenerated when I modify collection configs.

It used to work many versions ago.

Is there something I should be aware of re-enable this?

Currently I need to restart the dev server to see the updates applied (both at the listing and record level), and the types regenerated.

I'm on payload 3.61.1, and next 15.5.4.
