Hi everyone, hope you're doing well.

I got an error today:

APIError: Exceeded max identifier length for table or enum name of 63 characters. Invalid name: enum_nested_pages_blocks_general_block_general_page_desktop_icon.
Tip: You can use the dbName property to reduce the table name length.

Is there any way to increase the maximum number of characters allowed for names in the database in payloadcms? I know you can rename a property, but I would like to increase the maximum length to 70 for some reasons.

Hey @tawdry pendant

I think that postgres is what is enforcing a limit here - not Payload. That being said you can get around this limitation of PG by using the dbName value of your collection config: https://payloadcms.com/docs/configuration/collections#config-options (middle of the table)
