  1. Grid Collapse – Every pre-existing electrical network on the map fails. Lighting, powered doors, refrigeration all go dark. Players who built bases around electricity lose those advantages entirely and must improvise. Reward: scavenged electrical components and wiring that wouldn’t normally spawn in those locations, essentially letting you rebuild stronger
    2. Contaminated Supply Lines – A significant portion of food and water spawns are marked as infected/tainted. Consuming them without the right crafted filter or boiling method causes gradual debuffs. Forces players to actually engage with the hunting and foraging systems most skip. Reward: rare purification recipes and medical supplies concentrated in difficult locations
    3. Migration – Infected pathing and herd behaviour shifts dramatically, flooding previously safe zones and vacating previously dangerous ones. The entire mental map players have built becomes unreliable. Reward: nothing beyond what you find in the newly accessible areas – the reward is the exploration itself
    4. Fuel Drought – Vehicle fuel spawns drop to near zero. Players must either go on foot or find and protect the handful of fuel caches that spawn in high-risk locations. Reward: mechanical parts and vehicle upgrade components found along the routes people are now forced to travel on foot
    5. First Winter – Temperature system intensifies, exposure becomes a genuine threat overnight. Clothing meta shifts entirely, forcing players to prioritise warmth over tactical gear. Reward: insulated crafting materials and cold-weather clothing variants that carry over into normal play

I don't think it's cool that the game forces you to do these types of events, I like the idea of players creating these dependencies, lack of gas? Because there is a shortage, in terms of the electrical grid, I like the idea of them being turned off by default and so players can dominate the power plants, repair certain parts and reestablish the energy in a certain region, but it would be extremely expensive to maintain and repair, but there would be the second alternative of using portable generators directly through the individual power box of each house.

#

the rest in the case of the climate, the migration of hordes of zombies I think is cool

#

*lakes could all be contaminated, you would have to filter the water, drinking water would be difficult to find, in bottles or there could be temporary spring water, they would run out with use and would be random near rivers, it would be difficult to find.

#

Could have fork to find water to find the spring water mines

the game must have the mechanics already pre-set so that players can create the story of that world

#

I had seen someone suggesting events with NPCs in places on the map for PVE, this takes away all the weight of an immersive multiplayer world

#

It would be much better instead of having expressionless NPCs to fight, it would be better for the players themselves to create situations with other players, but of course for this to work, all the dynamics done by the developers have to be done well

#

The mechanics have to encourage the player to create these stories, and not just pick up a weapon and go out to PvP

I don't like the idea of forcing the player to act a certain way in a multiplayer open world, this works more for single player

#

I think about open world MP games, players enter farms, build their bases, create relationships with other players, etc., the history of that specific server is what the current players do.

You’ve played the playtest before?

For me, it would be much better instead of having a place with NPCs to interact, there would be a player who created a community and some type of interaction with other players, such as a store, or a village that accepts nomadic survivors, it's much cooler to happen between players

so much so that I was the one who always begged them to drop the robots and focus on a more TWD style hahahahah, that would be much more interesting and people are really clamoring for a good TWD style game

#

I'm glad they re-evaluated using zombies

#

This new aesthetic was their biggest success, a good TWD-style zombie game

That’s insane man. Hopefully some of my ideas reach them and maybe inspired some change or even a better idea than mines

@alpine coral I’m a big survival game fan myself and looking forward for this! I was playing dayZ since the alpha days 2013. I gave up on it because it’s a very broken game and just got real bored with it … Turned into a PVP fest
