This would work, but will it make the system too complicated?
I think having basic car maintenance is solid enough. Basically similar to DayZ/Scum, certain components need to be monitored/replaced however I will say it's important to keep within reason. You don't want to much to make it a chore, but you want enough to maintain immersion.
I don't think so, because it seems to me that they want vehicles to be an important part of ARDEM, and that would create very cool situations
It doesn't need to be a simulator, but it needs to have a certain complexity to fix it
I think that certain things work to have more realism, and others don't
For me, vehicles cannot be easy to maintain
especially gasoline, it has to be something very rare
Actually gasoline should be at every pump, theres only few survivors… gas stations usually have 30-40k gallons of gasoline i think thats more than enough for just few survivors
It's also important to remember gasoline goes bad and with Ardem taking place years after the apocalypse hit, it's realistic to assume not every station would be functional or usable.
just found out gas degrades after 2 months, and is not usable after 6... diesel can be stored 1 to 2 years, meaning there should be no gas in ardem at all 😄
yes, but there wouldn't necessarily be gas at all the pumps, because in an apocalypse many would break into gas stations and steal gas.
