The items would occupy a realistic space within each accessory, you would have specific slots for primary and secondary weapons, they could be used for axes and things like that. for smaller melee there would be a specific slot, switchblades, knives, etc.

a jacket normally has a maximum of 4 pockets in real life, it could have 2 slots depending on rarity

some backpacks would be able to hang a weapon, hence the weapon slot, but most would not, this backpack would be rare

I mean if the backpack empty i kinda like what did arena breakout did where you can roll an empty backpack and it will fit in 2 slots or 3 slots depends on the size of that thing same goes with other stuff

It does work well and instead of not letting people take backpacks you just either take one and use 2 slots or dont take it at all plus you can roll other type of clothing too so it takes less space in your inventory/stash
