#Fully functional Radio systems and walkie talkies

that would be so fun to use
imagine a player created radio station over the map to broadcast all tons of infos 😄
or fight for the radio towers to keep up the connetion for faction
There is already this thread about the radio station: https://discord.com/channels/965974632412893245/1480382722668105738
kinda in that direction
but if you played PZ you know what i meant with this idea and how expandable it is
Radio stations are already planned however walkie talkies offer limited viability. DayZ has had them since day 1 and absolutely nobody uses them.
i dont think nobody would use it at all
its always depending on what community or server you playin
even in a singleplayermod with NPCs would this feature make totally sense and offers alot of content
It's also quite precarious when you want to give player's the ability to broadcast whatever they want, this is the very reason most radio towers are disabled in DayZ. Players were blasting widly inappropriate things.
Depending on which server you playing
I can imagine If ardem would be released and it's able to host own server it would be easy to avoid this misbehaving from an mature team out of admins or community mods
I mean other games got similar features and game content and none of them went into the newspaper on the Frontline for a fully functional radio system inside a video game
And even on official server
There are ways and strategies to avoid misbehaving
But I get your point
The normal average player would be annoyed of some trash talk on a radio
I mean there is still that power off option
There's also the copyright issue that comes into play especially for streamers.
They could have a selection of preuploaded tracks you can collect and then play.
Yeah true though
Most of the streamer playing copyright music in their streams in the background
A ingame function to communicate over a larger distance wouldn't be a copyright violation at all
Yea on twitch that's a bannable offense so I'd disagree with that.
I mean arma is a good example for ingame radio communication
Yeah their is a ton of txoc behavior like in all other common games but at the end of the day it's depends on the people what who playing in a lobby and what are prefer to come together in a big game type like a open World survival
Hope is not really a solid solution, but they're ways to mitigate it.
Its would cool to loot a w.talkie or a radio and use it to community random peoples. The Team use discord anyway so why not have a ingame long range com to find friends/trades/enemys.
