Do it like DayZ, maps need to be found and once found it's just a map. You now have to orient yourself to find out where you are exactly.

i just want to be sure that you cant forget you base and i think of Couse in my option that you should be like you can see a arrow were you are and the arrow is you
and you can make marks on the map
or if you have some hidding stuff that you allways know where it are and where you can find it

Yeah i give you that but i still think it could be cool it you could mark your base or if you have something hidden Stash around somewhere

Maybe just make the map like i said but without the making thing then you can look on signs Maybe by Citys and then the street name og city name is on the map
