Hey, I'm doing mythic raiding as dev and I'm consistently near the bottom of the meters. My gear is definitely a bit behind, but gear is only one part of the equation that makes up dps and I feel like I'm underperforming in my rotation somewhere. It might be partly confusion on where to clip or chain. I think I have ineffecient use of my empower spells. Can someone take a look and help me out?

With 4set and the talent that reduces ES CD, I often notice my empower spells becoming desynced and it feels very awkward trying to play around that. I keep getting stuck between wondering if I should hold them for use with SS or just send them as they come to get as many mass dis as possible and just hope some of them line up. Here's my mythic logs: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/id/71172085

--send your empowers asap do not hold for SS or anything unless dragonrage is up in less than 10 seconds then you hold fire breath im p sure and eternity surge at like 6

--issue #1. you're dead a lot. we need to fix that before worrying about your damage. the #1 thing you can do to get your damage up is to not be dead. here are some things you can do to help fix that:

--drop the talent points in Innate Magic they're functionally wasted with our current tier set and you can pick up other talents that might help you more elsewhere: Twin Guardians and a rescue macro will help make you and a friend much safer in a number of places throughout the raid, and on Rashanan specifically the movements between phases, grab a priest or some other healer so they can finish the move and start healing again ASAP (i see you are grabbing a tank, this should not be necessary unless you have been assigned to do this by your raid lead); Regenerative Magic is actually a significant chunk of leech now that leech from gear has been nerfed; i found Tailwind to be very helpful for rashanan movement specifically but it might not actually be necessary

--DEFENSIVE BUTTONS: you have 19 rashanan pulls and only 9 casts of renewing blaze; this button is immensely powerful on this fight especially for the Erosive Spray mechanic and it will heal you through almost all of that damage and free up Obsidian Scales charges for when you get marked to drop adds, or for overlaps between threads and erosive spray; check Lorrgs for inspiration here https://lorrgs.io/spec_ranking/evoker-devastation/rashanan
also check zephyr casts there; these are most valuable on this fight when used for the Spinneret's Strands raidwide damage

--3 algari healing potion and 6 healthstone presses; if you have the money for 19 tempered potions you can shell out some money for healing potions and press that shit. LIVE LIVE LIVE i cannot emphasize this enough YOU MUST FIND A WAY TO LIVE

alright looking at damage now

ThumbsUp I was assigned to grab the tank, will try changing around talents

tg still might be good just for the shield on you even if the tank doesnt need it if you feel like you are not safe on the phase change movements. i dont know how those feel without tg i played it the whole time

usually not much damage in that phase, the swirlies are pretty easy to dodge, but i do think the talent has a lot of worth on the fight since i'm in rescue anyway

--precast hover twice before pull then refresh it with your starting deep breath; this gives you 10-15s of free hover at the start of the fight to move around for the first few mechanics; you can have like 50% uptime on hover which is indirectly damage through easier/better disint casts
--speed is the name of the game. get your shit out and on cooldown as fast as possible. your p1 of rashanan (just the first bit before you move to the back) should have 4casts of eternity surge, 3 casts of fire breath, and 2 casts of deep breath. randomly sampling around through these pulls there are placles where you lag behind on any of these or even all three of them. you absolutely need to be getting these out as frequently as possible, both for their own damage and to fuel mass disintegrate+bombardment damage. im not sure what to read into exactly on your mythic logs because sometimes you are losing uptime to mechanics so instead

dont worry too much about the specifics of each category just check the vibes of each category
--relatively high wasted essence %; we early cancel every single disintegrate this patch except for mass disintegrates, either with higher prio spells (empowers, shattering star, deep breath) or with other disintegrate casts. this consumes essence faster for higher bombardments uptime and is a small damage gain
--some cancelled casts; ideally we do this as little as possible, get used to using hover proactively. you get hover back for free when you deep breath use it often
--efficiency on cds; notice how little gaps there are

every single cd is always running as tightly as possible nothing can be wasted

sorry to make you wait so long for not very much info but hopefully this gets you pointed in the right direction
