Just had my first M+ preservation healing experience, it felt terrible (I'm a PvP Dev enjoyer typically). Been trying to read up and figure it out but idk if any chad pres evokers has any advice. I've read this amazing site https://spiritbloom.pro/gameplay/interactions#stasis but pretty sure I'm still doing everything wrong. I have log and a vod. Did 2x Mists of Tirna Scithe +2

Vod: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2261318917

Basic skill usage

  • You're missing a lot of Echo casts and not really utilizing them.
    • Take Mistcaller as an example, you basically had three completely avoidable deaths caused by simple lack of healing. When the whole group is taking damage, you should aim to cover them with Echoes before damage comes and then using something like SB at max rank to hit 4 players + everyone Echoed again. Same thing goes for DB, although Echo doesn't copy buffs like Call of Ysera or our 4pc set bonus, Echoing the whole group and then sending a buffed DB at R1 does a good amount of healing in the form of a long HoT.
      • On that note, you cast quite a few DBs that weren't buffed with CoY.
      • And if possible you want to position yourself in a way that you can hit the whole group, this isn't always possible with ranged pugs but at least apply it to them via Echo.
    • This also applies to EC and Echoing VE/Lifebind on the group before using it. If you Echo two DPS and VE the last (or just Echo all 3 +- tank) it turns your EC into a megacooldown making the group practically unkillable outside of being oneshot for the ECs duration.
      • And please do keep using EC more, you had 2 casts over the whole 22 minute dungeon.
  • Blossoms is pretty much trash for Echo builds, especially without Ouroboros talented.
  • Disintegrate is less damage than Chrono Flames, so use Chrono Flames instead.
  • Chrono Flames/Living Flame should be your last resort heal. You cast it decently often at friendlies instead of using other stronger spells.
  • You basically left Spiritbloom in the spell book. You barely used it and when you did you didn't empower it all the way basically wasting the cast anyway.
  • Using TA -> Rev is a pretty great way to keep the healing amp from Grace Period up on the group as it doesn't scale with Echo effectiviness, and should be done before damage arrives.
  • You really don't need to keep recasting Blessing of the Bronze.
