also would be amazing if anyone is able to figure out why the raid is failing so hard
I'm not an expert at reading logs but putting your best pull through wowanalyzer it seems you're not casting your best spells very often. Only 3 casts of dreambreath and only 5 of spiritbloom
1 of the dreambreaths was also missing call of Ysera. You also only cast dreamflight and emerald communion once but that might be a heal cd assign thing
as for why you're failing: Experiments relies heavily on timings. You REALLY want to make sure the second of the 3 bosses dies before he gets his third set of dispels cast
its a massive difference
(i'm not sure if thats what happening to your guild specifically but it is a massive pain point of the fight)
thanks
can dream breath about twice as much as you do on some of these pulls. decent amount of downtime between some casts. wanna make sure to be casting something at almost all times, minimize any gaps there.
looking at a few pulls seems to me you have a pretty good idea of the general playstyle. you hardcast your echo a ton (good thing). spend into reversion. nothing wrong there.
big cds are a bit more of an issue. early and often and rotating through them for each major dmg event is good practice for learning and in pugs. wanna get things on cd early. some of your stasis casts look weird. verdant in several, wanna do that before the stasis cast and fit in all of db ta sb. good for the burst on this fight.
why the raid is failing is a bigger question. this fight is determined by doing the mechanics well, assume some of them are getting messy/out of control in places and causing cascading issues. can look a bit later to actually check but would bet it's something like that.
@tender ridge
i have started putting VE a lot in my stasis either right before DB for CoY, or as last cast for lifebind, should I just not put VE in stasis ever?
I try more and more to put stuff on cooldown like you said, but especially early on, people are just full HP. by the time I reach empower 3 SB on some mechanic its already 100% overhealing
and thank you
you can just ve before the stasis
i think the RL doesn't really care retrospectively so since the raid wont be awakened for 2 weeks I guess it doesn't make a difference knowing what is going wrong
to get the coy buff
I know, its always just been awkward for me, many times I know I have DB first in stasis but when its time to use it, or it expires, VE is just on cooldown, this has helped a bit
there is a stasis you would use ve in but it's a bit niche. you can safely put db sb ta in 99% of the time.
I guess stupid question, but how can I get better at "pressing my keys," or do you have any tips, because I've been told that every time I posted my logs so far despite practicing a lot
just playing more tbh
or at least thats how i generally learn it
youi kinda just figure out when good times during each fight are good for your buttons
and the more you play the spec the quicker you figure those out on a new fight
I guess wiping a lot like that is a good opportunity for personal growth so next time I'd already know what to press when. Not as useful when the boss dies quickly and then theres a week before even a single more pull, and heroic practice isn't really carrying over
yea fated seasons a bit of a mess
but on Fyrakk last season let me tell you by pull number 238 you really know how to do that phase 1 sequencing
ideally you get to the point where you dont have to think much about the pressing of buttons and can think ahead a bit about upcoming spell sequences and chain them together in the spell queue window so you have zero downtime between casts. stuff like planning for movement and being able to react to unexpected dmg quickly cuts the downtime down further.
having problems with uptime in general. pretty much every single spell I use too little. It's easy to chain echoes back to back, but then I'm wasting time deciding what to press inbetween bursts, and it gets especially bad when I have to dodge stuff and the only thing I have available is empowers. Also I can't figure out how to use hover properly (inbetween GCDs or whatever).

also i have a lot of things without keybinds (i click them) because I don't have enough keys. Stuff like N, M, ctrl-5, shift-5, I still click because it's too far, and stuff like potions and healthstone I often just forget to use (probably because no key bound). heres my hotbar, any tips on what more I can bind where? I know I have spells that are useless in raid on 2, 3, 4 but I use them in M+ and it would mess with muscle memory to have two different hotbars
wasting a prime keybind like 2 on azure strike is not something i'd recommend
same with disint on 5 tbh
the 2 racials on 3 and 4 is a bit weird as well
i tend to prefer modifier keybinds for things with cd's and no mod keybinds for things with no cd
evoker is a bit weird because of empowers
basically everything from 2 to shift 2 just landed there while levelling and ive grown to it, so i feel if I unbind them in raid I will try to azure strike boss for some reason and accidentally cast rewind or whatever, but I guess I just have to bite the bullet
the solution to that is to just not want to azure strike the boss
azure strike is an never worth the mana cost in raid
you only ever press that button if you need to slow things
in m+ i use it to snare spiteful ghosts but having two hotbars is so confusing. i have quell on different keys for pres/open world and already keep confusing them
oh yea in m+ its a usable button
slows are very nice there
but not "azure strike on 2" usable 😄
my azure strike is on G
seems you're not using R yet? unless i'm blind
i think it's unbound yeah
R and shift R are pretty comfy keybinds from my experience
what spells on awkward keys make more sense in 2-4? most of the things I struggle to reach/have to click are the big cooldowns anyway
normally its my spammable spells i put there, on evoker its my empowers
because i play double tap
so having to double tap a modifier keybind for those would be annyoing
i have FB on shift 1 because I used to instant cast it all the time before I figured out what leaping flames is, I agree that's very awkward, might put that in that area
my bar is something like: rev DB LF SB FB TA
1 to 6
and then 7 is healthstone because i am a silly goose
and then i have q e r t y f g z x c v n
and shift modifiers of most of those
