Unsure if I'm doing okay with Devastation or not. Had to switch from Aug recently as requested by my guild. I played Devastation originally but have played Aug since it's release. I know I need gear. I have 1 pc or 2 pc rn. Waiting for all 4 to switch as I was told it's best to wait till 4pc. Just looking to have someone review it and see if my rotation is off at all or if I just need better gear.

Hello, taking a quick glance at your logs, your Dragonrage windows are fairly inconsistent. You should always try and get 34 seconds (2 extensions, 2 from each empower) at least each use. Second is your Hover usage is on the lower end for certain fights. It allows you to channel Disintegrate while moving and is very useful for not dropping ticks due to movement. Finally your Disintegrate usage appears to be slightly low at least compared to other fights of similar length, which may be a result of overcapping on essence, or not using ABC (Always Be Casting). As you pointed out gear and tier does appear to be part of the culprit as well.

Some of that is im still getting used to Dev rotatation it should be precase living flame, use dragonrage at pull then use firebreath, shattering star and then eternity surge, fill with disintegrate and living flame, use tip the scales when firebreath is back up shattering star eternity surge? that's my understanding for the whole 'dragonrage combo' thing

#

then its just disintegrate living flame till my empower spells are back up repeat the dragonrage thing once its back up.

In a nut shell yes, but if you have the opportunity to extend dragonrage beyond 34 seconds, you should since you get full mastery effect and more resource generation during it.

I'm not too aware of what my dragonrage is usually at. is there a WA I should be using?

The timer for it isnt actually all that important to track, its just the amount of extensions you get
