My Buddy is new to the Game, and new to the Class. Is he doing good? what can he do better? What about his single target? We just don't know. He is looking alot into videos, he reacts to our calls, he is really doing good. We just want to give him the best chance to learn the Spec right on the first try.

Lol, he even removed tank's bleed on a Crawth!
My recommendations:
Use [Tail Swipe], [Wing Buffet], [Deep Breath] more often. He died 2 times at start and didn't use this great CC abilities.
It's VERY good to use [Tail Swipe] or [Deep Breath] when Hungry Lashers wake up to not be bitten an to help tank get aggro.
For DPS i'd recommend to work on Dragonrage extinction:
