Honestly it looks like you're doing most of the right things but there is some consistency stuff here and there

#

I'm definitely not a 1%er and it's easier to pick at things from the log than do the fights myself, but for instance every now and then you don't get the second pair of Dragonrage extends, or sometimes you lose a tick of Disintegrate somewhere - these log views might be able to help you look at those things and maybe help you figure out when you're slipping up?

im sorry im not very versed in warcraft logs this deep, can you explain a little of what these two views are?

Yeah so the first one shows each Dragonrage cooldown you did, and the abilities that extend your dragonrage. As you probably know you want to extend each one as much as possible

#

So that means each Dragonrage should be followed by each of Firebreath + Eternity Surge twice, like on this Dathea kill:

oh yea i see

Base duration is 14s, plus 6s from each empowered spell for a total of 38s* each Dragonrage in that fight

#

However sometimes you are not getting that second pair of Firebreath/Eternity Surge (possibly because you had to deal with mechanics or something who knows) and it's probably worth looking into that, from what I understand of it, to parse high you should be consistently getting it extended to 37s (and more extends after if you have lust or other haste buffs)

yes that makes a lot of sense. i did know that i was missing them here and there but i guess i didnt realize it could make that big of a diference in a parse or overall dps. definitely something i will focus on now. i dont believe i've ever gotten a second extension tho, maybe im focusing too much on mastery over haste? i have currently 99% mastery, im not sure if there's a soft cap or not but everything ive simmed keeps telling me mastery is king

I can't give you % estimates on how much it gets ya, but Dragonrage definitely helps you get more ticks of disintegrate off, and you can probably squeeze out a bit more uptime here and there, I think raidbots says 35% uptime is about perfect and the Buffs tab says you averaged about 29%:

#

And you're right, Mastery is definitely king that probably would be your main focus, but haste is the next best :)

well tyvm sir for the input. im going to run it back another week while focusing on fixing those things we discussed and maybe ill update after on this thread if thats ok?

I stole this guide from Kyrasis and the log says you have 5482 mastery so I think you're barely above the soft cap but nobody really cares about the 10% DR until the 7200 threshold so you'll be fine
