Can't Connect to Official Server after Using Cultivation

I Installed Cultivation, and I tried to connect to my local (5.4) server using my 5.8 official client. after realizing that I need to use a 5.4 client to connect to my 5.4 local server, I promtly got the 5.4 client and it worked. However, now my 5.8 client is stuck trying to connect to my local server. Is there a quick fix by just deleting some file or do I have to reinstall the game? Thank you for your time
