Could not patch error

#

Have everything installed, but running into a 'could not patch' error! Checked everything in the server I could find, installed/reinstalled, manually patched, made sure everything's the latest version, everything's as admin, but still getting the error - sending screenshots in a second!

Automatically patched is checked as well!

Was having a problem earlier with the game launching just fine to the Hoyo screen and then closing which was just Culti needing updating, so everything should be up to date but now it isn't seeming to be patching correctly paimon_thinks

You appear to already be patched with mhypbase, but on 4.7?

you would need to show me your cultivation patch folder, and if 4.5 or newer, the altpatch folder too

#

assuming your game is 4.7, then your game folder already has issues

Game is 4.8, totally fresh install from a few hours go on this computer!
The current mhypbase is the version.dll manual patch file that seemed to work for other people from what I could search though it may be out of date now because of the game 4.8 update, and the patch folder from the Cultivation install section on the github is the 1.4.4!

Sending a screenshot of the patch folder in a second, not sure where to find the altpatch folder PAIMONthink

First problem is that there is no ps for 4.8.
That patch of mhypbase is not for any new version, it is specifically 4.0 and earlier.

reason it says cannot patch is because there is no patch file for 4.8, so it cannot patch

if you're following the setup guide then as it says, 4.0 game is required

#

if you're using an alternate fork of gc, such as for 4.7, then you need that matching game version

#

but there is none for 4.8, so regardless you either need to use the setup guide and get 4.0, or wait for 4.8 if it happens

also to play on official again you'll need to repair the game since you replaced mhypbase

you can use the official launcher to do that

Is there a setup thread/link for an alternate fork of gc for 4.7?

All good! Shouldn't need to worry about repairing to get on official, I have a clean install with a legit account on a different PC cat_salute

Yes, it's the exact same steps as for 4.0.

If you followed the setup guide and got GC from the cultivation downloads menu then you should have seen it there already

then use 4.7 game and play
