The only reason you got it "without the login screen prompt" before was because you logged in the first time, then never changed servers, never logged in on official, never changed logins for any reason. So you were automatically logged in via registry cache/token
But the login has always been there, it has never been skipped as part of GC
Do keep in mind that checking the box in Cultivation settings to clear registry cache will force you to re-login every time you launch the game. Since that is clearing the registry cache... your cached login which allows you to skip the login screen
You logged in on an account at one point, it's impossible to avoid. The launcher cannot and does not log you in
Even with autoCreate on, you have to log in the first time since cached logins won't create an account
If you never change logins, such as by going to a different server (including official), then you could avoid logging in for eternity. But you still have to log in the first time.

Definitely strange, but hoyo uses registry keys for everything and probably have some weird handling for tokens
