Is there a way to skip quests to eg. start sumeru storyline after tutorial? Is it just a matter of starting its first quest and continuing or do i need to manually complete all previous quests?

You can skip quests, yes, but you cannot play the Sumeru storyline period. Any quest introduced after 3.2(?) will not work at all
