Reading the support issues, I'm confused. Does the main version of grasscutters work for 3.4 or do I need a fork? And I don't really understand how to set it up - I just delete the files in the grasscutters folder and replace them with the new files? I see version 3.3 in my game, 3.4 in my server and I'm trying to fix that

Grasscutter supports 3.4. Refer to the grasscutter github or #resources
Your game is 3.3 so you need 3.3 Grasscutter to play, or update your game to 3.4 and use 3.4 grasscutter

I think I want to update, I found the resources and downloaded them. So I just delete and repaste all of the files in the grasscutters directory (using cultivation), copy the cultivation config, and then run the command on the wiki and I should theoretically be good?

You don't need to run grasscutter from command line since you're using Cultivation. Just start it from Cultivation. Also no, that would update your Grasscutter but you need to update your game

Until you update your game from 3.3 to 3.4 you won't be able to play on 3.4 grasscutter

I think i get it, since I have two separate directories I need to copy the updated files from the main directory (official)

Yes if you're using two games then you need, one way or another, to update the game you are using to play on private
