Clipping on the Clip on

I'm not a massive gun person irl so maybe this method is more accurate, But it would be nice to be able to "clip on" the thermal clip on. I'd imagine it to work like the shooting stick, equip to loadout then when rifle is up you can choose to clip it on or off your scope. I'm happy to buy 2/3 of them if needed but it seems silly having to pop down a tent to take the clip on, off. thoughts?

They said the clip on is a "clip on" you can take it off in the radial menu. I haven't tried it myself, but that was the intended use of this item.
