Multiple calibers for each weapon

Each of the rifles in the game come in multiple calibers from the manufacturer with no visual changes.

It doesn't have to be brand new calibers and to be honest most of the calibers in game make up a good number of the offerings from the manufacturers.

The Steyr CLii full stock for example could alternate between 9.3x62mm, .30-06 Springfield, .270 Winchester, and 7mm Remington Magnum.

This is a small step toward customization but honestly would make a large difference in gameplay for many of us who simply like certain models over others.

yes i wish hunting game would do this. the last hunting game i seen that did this was deer hunter 2005

Hunting simulator 2 had it too... But the whole game except the 3D gun designs was ahh

This is weirdly accurate to be honest, and for some reason HS2 is the only hunting game that doesn't divide animals and weapons into tiers, you don't get punished for using a caliber the devs don't like.

The score of the animal determines how much money you get

You do get punished with a fine for shooting a cougar with anything more then a 243 in that game

Yet I can use a .338 on Roe deer, it has its quirks yes, but it's still not as restricted as Way of the Hunter or Call of the Wild

I would say Call of the Wild is the most restrictive and for all of that games strengths the Class System is one of its weakest points (Alongside the ballistics)

There’s no real punishment in way of the hunter for using the “wrong” caliber. Hunt rating only matters if the player chooses it to.

Its why the 375 is my main rifle for Tikamoon and Aurora Shores (mostly so I can carry a crossbow on Aurora specifically)

I’m currently elk hunting with the 243

These are the models used in HS 2 and it seems criminal that the rest of the game is ugly compared to them

Exactly... The trees n stuff are pretty good too but everything else is pretty ahhh
