Greenland map idea! 🇬🇱

I’m hoping one of the 2 dlc we get this year is an Arctic map so here’s my idea for an article map set in Greenland! I’ll also do one in Russia as another option for an Arctic map! But as for Greenland here’s my idea for the animal roster.

Description:
Welcome to the largest island in the world, you better dress warm as the name Greenland does not match its cold Arctic landscape at all! Here you will find a variety of waterfowl/sea birds that fly to this island during hunting season. Also keep a look out for the small rock ptarmigan and Arctic hare! Big games hunters that have visited aurora shores will be familiar with the majestic barren grounds caribou, but they will also have the unique hunting experience of their life taking down the mighty musk oxen! Along the coasts of this island you can hunt ringed seals and walrus, definitely a different hunting experience that many will be trying for the first time! If you’re so brave you can hunt the predators of Greenland, the Arctic fox won’t pose much of a threat to you, only mostly to the hares of this island. That’s not that case for the Arctic wolves though which will pose a dangerous threat. Finally there’s the king of the Arctic, the menacing polar bear, if you’re not careful you might be the one Being hunted, BEWARE!

Here’s the walrus photo btw. While making this map idea I noticed the lack of big animals to hunt, so that’s why the map only has a total of 12 species. It’s kind of like tikamoon plains which had the same amount of species. both are map with a low species count (12 instead of 14 or 15) but most them are new. On tikamoon 12/12 are exclusive and on this map 11/12 are. I made this idea for fun and I doubt we will really get Greenland because the devs said the next 2 maps would have “a healthy mix of new and old species” so reusing just 1 animal, the barren grounds caribou from Alaska doesn’t seem to fit that. I think an Arctic map would be better in northern Canada which could use a lot of animals from the Alaska and Idaho maps while also having a lot of the same animals from this map. But I think the best location for an Arctic map would be Russia, it would have a mix of old species from Transylvania as well as some exciting new ones. stay tuned as I’m making that map idea soon!

You are only (legally) allowed to hunt Atlantic Puffin in Iceland.

So this map will basically only have albinos?

Albinism and having adaptations for living in the Arctic are 2 different things

For one, albinos have no pigmentation due to a lack of melanin and are known to have pink eyes

An animal having white fur or feathers does not automatically mean it is an albino, it might be to help with camouflage in the snow or some other adaptation to living in their environment

Haha yes, if your lucky you might spot the majestic rare albino polar bear. A trophy most hunters can only dream of

to add onto to this:
the fur color of some arctic animals changes based on season, like with the Arctic Fox. during the summer, the coats of Arctic Foxes are brown, while in the winter, their coats are pure white
