After some 130 hours, I have finally done everything there is to do. I have a lot of thoughts, but the ones that remain with me the most are the following:
The gamefication of the game I found to be egregious. It feels almost like an insecure game grasping at straws to make people engaged. I absolutely love the game and don't need an excuse to play it. However, I will never do a Victory Board again after the god awful grind that it was. And given that at the time of writing only 0.1% of players had the achievement, I'm not sure who the target demographic is.
What I experienced most is that doing quests, victory board or achievements, encourage runs that are largely unengaging. It's not an invitation to be creative or interact with the game in new ways but rather, to take every kwilling/glyph node so that I can maximize resources for rerolling into the right vestige/augment requirement.
On the topic of vestiges, I think Ambusher is really unhealthy for the game. The problem is that Ambusher punishes you for considering anything else but itself and beyond that, it wants you to keep some pieces which continue to limit variety. Due to the importance of completing the set, it's far too punishing to consider any other remotely fun vestiges. Similarly, due to the way the game increases the chances of you seeing sets that you already have, it becomes all that more important to stretch yourself thin looking for early ambusher so the 1st shop knows what to give you.
Despite my observations, I reaaaally loved the game and I look forward to seeing where it goes from here : )
