Just install gnome-software and then install flatpack

Flatpack may have some issues but if u can find or get .deb from gnome-software
Then install .deb over flatpack and snap

If you are Ubuntu then snaps are inevitable for a new user

However Generally you should prefer Native packages

These are .deb files

Then i would chose flatpak as its pretty popular

Snap isn't that good but you can use it

If your software store provides something then you use it

As for Ubuntu, The packages will always be kinda old to keep their stability

Many softwares might not be available in the official repository

For them you will need to use Flaptak/Snap/Appimage or add a PPA (Personal Package Archive) which are basically repositories hosted by other developers (Often the creator of the softwares)
