They don't want a shaky base with unpredictable updates AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE COMPLETE INABILITY TO REPLICATE AN EXACT DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT is the reason that most developers don't care much about Arch, Void or any of the somewhat obscure distros for that manner. Not to mention Arch having OLDER versions of compiler and toolchains because of things like the AUR requiring it.

Before you say that you can make a script for testing, there's literally NixOS for that but again, people in the arch land literally may use a different kernel, init system and shit like that which is more locked down and cleanly updated in Ubuntu/Fedora/RHEL

And NixOS only makes sense in those places where you need to have a immutable setup for a bunch of PCs with custom configurations

Linus Torvalds literally said f u to Debian because it was literally like arch back then and used and is still using Fedora for actually maintaining and testing patches for the Linux Kernel
